This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on www.toldlondon.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
WHAT COOKIES ARE
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site remember things between pages and between visits: what is in your basket, which country you are shopping from, whether you have already been shown something. Websites also use related technologies that store information in your browser in other ways, and we describe those here too, because they do the same job. Where this policy says "cookies", it means both.
YOUR CHOICE
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use cookies that are not essential. You can accept them, decline them, or choose by category. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of every page. If you decline, we set only the cookies the site cannot work without, and nothing is shared with our advertising or analytics partners.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work as they should, in particular the basket and checkout.
MAKING THE SITE WORK
These are set whatever you choose, because the shop cannot run without them. They keep your session and your basket, remember the country and currency you are shopping in, support Shop Pay if you use it, and protect our sign-up form from automated abuse. They also let us remember whether we have already shown you the newsletter sign-up, and which country the site suggested to you, so you are not asked twice.

Our typefaces are served by Adobe Fonts, which is part of how the site is drawn. Loading them tells Adobe the page you are on and your IP address. No cookie is set.
UNDERSTANDING HOW THE SITE IS USED
Only with your consent. These tell us which pages people read, how they arrive, and where they give up, so we can make the shop better. We look at patterns, not at individuals.
